These kiosk substations are electrical enclosures that contain ring main units or medium voltage switchgear up to 40.5kV (1250A, 31.5kA). Our TGS 40.5 switchgear is a versatile switchboard that is used in secondary distribution. It is ideal for compact secondary substations, small industrial applications, solar and wind power plants, and space-saving substations on commercial premises.
TGS 40.5 is electrically insulated using SF6 gas, but we do offer a non-SF6 version of this product, by Brunstock, the BGS-40.5. Both TGS 40.5 and BGS-40.5 are robust indoor switchgear, resistant to environmental problems like humidity, dust, pollution, dirt and rodents. It is one of the most compact MV switchgear in the Australian market. A cubicle with 3 functional switchgear units inside it is only 1.5 metres wide.
