Inside each kiosk is an array of 40.5kV (medium voltage) secondary switchgear, which is available with or without SF6 gas.
These ring main units efficiently convert power generated from renewable energy sources and transmit it to a primary collection substation, ensuring seamless integration into the electricity grid.

The external structure of a kiosk can be prefabricated and all are modular in nature. Most substation kiosks are the size of a standard shipping container, if not smaller. They are part of a broad range of equipment that makes up any given substation.
